Adult Arrest Report

The Police Department recently implemented a new report, the Adult Arrest Report. The purpose of this report is to share arrest information with the public.

The idea for this report was an outcome of discussions with neighborhood leaders of the Fourth Ward and Look West neighborhoods. The adult arrest report will allow:

  • Citizens to know who the arrested person is and where the arrest occurred,
  • Citizens can follow the arrest through the criminal justice system by tracking the case on Wisconsin Circuit Court Access, Consolidated Court Automation Program (CCAP).
  • If citizens observe an arrest, they can determine if the matter is a safety issue or something less concerning.
  • Citizens can determine if a landlord is transferring problem individuals from one property to another.

The arrest information is a public record and has always been available upon request. This adult arrest report allows for citizens to easily access the information.

The Janesville Police Department remains committed to neighborhood safety and believes that citizens that are informed of the activities in their neighborhoods are better able to keep their neighborhoods safe. In addition to this report, we encourage you to view all police activity in the City of Janesville by visiting our Crime Map
