Summary of Services
Neighborhood Services is comprised of the following activities, programs and divisions: Housing (Housing Rehabilitation, Home Ownership, Fair Housing), Rental Assistance, Property Maintenance, and the Transit Division. Programs and activities are intended to protect and promote the health, safety, welfare and appearance of the City of Janesville. Neighborhood Services seeks to improve and revitalize neighborhoods, housing, the downtown, and to meet the housing needs of lower income persons and the transportation needs of the community.

This document explains how the Community Development Block Grant program and HOME program funds were used in 2012 and details progress made on accomplishing the goals of the Consolidated Plan. A public hearing for citizen comments has been scheduled for March 20, 2013. Copies of the CAPER are available for public review at the Senior Center, Hedberg Public Library and Neighborhood Services department.
