Senior Citizen & Disabled ID card information

Senior citizens, disabled persons and Federal Medicare cardholders may ride JTS buses at reduced rates with their Medicare card or a special identification card.

 

Disabled persons' identification cards are available at:

Transit Services Center    101 Black Bridge Road      Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday

or

Clerk Treasurer's Office    18 N. Jackson Street      Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday

You may print an application for a Disabled ID card here.  Please provide photo identification.

 

Senior Citizens' identification cards are available at:

Janesville Senior Citizens Center 69 Water Street     Hours:  8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday

You may print an application for a Senior ID card here.  Please provide proof of age and identification.

 

There is no cost to the applicant for the initial card, however if the card is lost or stolen, a replacement card will be issued at a cost of $3.

Medicare or Special ID cards must be shown to the bus driver or clerk when purchasing or using a reduced fare pass, token, or cash fare. Following the ADA, JTS will also honor valid reduced fare or ADA Paratransit Certification Cards from any other U.S. transit system when presented at the time the fare is paid or Paratransit service is provided.
