You are billed quarterly for how much water you use, as measured by the meter in your basement. This meter is also the basis of your wastewater charge. The state requires the utility to test about 2,500 meters per year to ensure that meter readings and billings are accurate.
Utility Billing Concerns & Payments
Should you have a concern with your utility bill or have questions regarding account balance, meter readings or property ownership/address changes, please contact the Utility Billing Office using the contact information provided above or use our service directory to send an email. Payments may be made in person at City Hall, 18 N. You may reduce your wastewater charges by metering the water that does not enter the sanitary sewer system, including water used for lawn or garden sprinkling. Installation of such a metering device, called a clear water meter, is solely at the customer's expense. Click here to read the clear water meter rules. For further details, call the Water Utility .
