The C.I.T. program is for teens between the ages of 13-15 who have a strong desire to work with children and who want to assist counselors at any of our camp facilities. Applicants must be dependable, able to help the counselors and assist as a leader, rather than be a "camper". There will be a brief training session on Monday, June 4 at 4PM at Traxler Park Warming House (600 N. Main St.). Pick up an application at the Janesville Recreation office and return it along with a letter of interest and a reference letter from a non-relative. The cost is $30 per session for all camps, except Tot Lot which is $15. Applications are due Friday, May 4 and space is limited so apply early.

Become a V.I.P. with Janesville Parks & Recreation Divisions through our volunteer program.  Teens age 13 and older can sign up to volunteer in parks, at special events, for clean up days, and for various other recreation programs.  Teens will donate their time and in turn will gain valuable experience and a sense of fulfillment.  This is a great opportunity to complete required volunteer hours for school.  Interested teens should complete a volunteer application (click here).  Volunteer opportunities are attached to the application.  Have an experience of a lifetime, while making a difference today.
