Speed Restriction Removed from the Rock River on August 28
Beginning at daylight on August 28 the slow no-wake ban will be removed on waters of the Rock River located within the City of Janesville and the Town of Janesville. The speed ban has been in place as a result of high water conditions. For questions, contact the Park Division at 755-3025.
Labor Day Holiday Hours- Monday, September 6
In observance of Labor Day, most City facilities, including the Municipal Building, Police and Fire Administration, Water and Wastewater Utility offices, City Services Center, Senior Center, Cemetery office and the Janesville Transit System will be closed on Monday, September 6. The Ice Skating Center and Hedberg Public Library will be closed on September 5 and 6.
Labor Day Trash & Recycling Collection
The City Services Center, Sanitary Landfill, Demolition Landfill, and Compost Site will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 6. If your trash or recycling collection day falls on Labor Day, Monday, September 6, please place your trash and recyclables out for collection the next day, Tuesday, September 7 before 7AM.
